Journey in Faith Course 2026-27
This year’s course started on Thursday 8th October 2026 at 7.15pm in the Parish Centre. There is still time to join the course. For those who want to become Catholics whether from no faith or from other denominations, the course is known as the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults – soon to be named OCIA where O refers to ‘Order’). The RCIA is the Church’s required means of adults or older youths being received.
The Topic for Thursday 15th October will be The Word of God so please bring your Bible and/or the Bible App
We welcome anyone who is interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith – Catholics who already practise their faith, those who are contemplating returning to Church, those of other denominations who simply wish to know more about Catholic beliefs, as well as those wishing to become Catholics.
The course lasts from October to Pentecost with approximately twenty-four sessions. Those who are already Catholics are welcome as learning about the Faith is a shared enterprise. Those too who have left the Church, for whatever reason and are considering returning, are also welcome.

Journey in Faith Course 2025-26
The Journey in Faith course for the year 2025-2026 came to an end on the Thursday before PentecostÂ
Unusually all candidates this year were male. That was different from previous years.
At the Easter Vigil Mass our four candidates for reception into the Church – Ashleigh Robinson, Brett Richmond, Thomas Bate, and William Jones – were confirmed in the Faith and received their First Holy Communion. With them, Cameron Saunders who was already a baptised Catholic, was confirmed in the Faith. It was a joyous occasion for them, their sponsors, and their families. Please continue to pray for them as they continue to learn more of the Catholic Faith.
